Tamil diaspora constitutes the overwhelming majority of the Tamil Hindu population in many countries. Leaving their home during different times due to several factors, they have taken roots in these countries becoming the permanent feature in their demographic profiles. Amidst several difficulties and hardships, their earnest efforts to retain their Tamil roots, and live the Tamil language and cultural tradition in their daily lives are highly commendable.
However, in some countries, the new generations of Tamil diaspora are facing some distractions and unfavourable environments to live up-to their Tamil cultural identity that was handed over to them by their forefathers. There arises the dire need to practice, preserve and promote our Tamil tradition and culture among the Tamil diaspora.
